David Holwadel, CFP®

Senior Financial Advisor

Dave grew up talking investments with his father. When he was 12 years old, he invested in a single share of Taft Broadcasting for $27. Taft held their annual shareholders meeting at Kings Island, so for just $27, he went into the park each year (but skipped the meeting).

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University, Dave  began his career as a CPA, followed by accounting/finance positions in private companies. It was at this time that he developed his disciplined approach to solving problems and working with people.

Dave’s father, Kent, had been in the financial services industry for 40 years when we asked Dave if he would ever consider working with him at Merrill Lynch. They then worked together for 14 years until his father retired at 79.

Dave helps clients manage all aspects of their financial lives. At times he must be the encourager while at others, a critical sounding board. However, Dave is an optimist at heart, helping clients to feel optimism in their own lives.
